Certified Music Therapists (MTAs) use music purposefully to address physical, communicative, cognitive, social, and/or emotional goals.
In addition to being a creative and engaging medium, music also provides structure, reinforcement, and a powerful means of self- expression to support children in achieving these goals.

MTAs use interventions like singing, songwriting, moving to music, and playing instruments, and adapt the music used based on the needs and preferences of each child.
While music therapy may be especially powerful for children with a strong connection to music, no musical experience is required to benefit from music therapy.

Kaija is a Certified Music Therapist (MTA) with a Bachelor of
