Partner and Physiotherapist
Carrie has 2 bachelors degrees (Kinesiology and Medical Rehabilitation-Physiotherapy) and a Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration. Carrie has been working as a physiotherapist since 2013 and has spent most of her career working with children. She also enjoys providing mentorship and supporting other physiotherapists that are passionate about working with children.
Carrie values continuing education, collaborative practice, family and child centred care, evidence-based practice and making therapy fun!
Carrie has a special interest in working with infants (plagiocephaly, torticollis, gross motor development), toddlers/preschoolers with delayed gross motor movements (walking, jumping, stairs, biking) and children of all ages with neurological, genetic and chromosomal conditions (Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, Autism, ADHD, etc.).
She is married with two dogs (Maverick and Goose) and enjoys travelling, board games, swimming, camping and biking.
CHELSEA SCHELLER, MPT, B.SC.
Physiotherapist
Chelsea completed her Bachelor of Science and graduated with her Master of Physical Therapy (2020) from the University of Manitoba. She is currently working on a Master of Science looking at gross movement skills in women and how they relate to physical activity participation.
She has spent the last two years working with children in remote communities in Manitoba and will now be working with children in Nunavut.
In her free time she enjoy reading, being active in the gym, walking her dogs, or spending time with her family watching her husband play sports.
MELANIE RIOUX, M.SC.P.T.
Physiotherapist
Melanie was born and raised in Germany. Her parents, who are originally from Canada, moved the family back to Quebec City when she was 10 years old. Since obtaining her master’s degree in Physiotherapy from McGill University in 2014, Melanie worked with kids of all ages and in various settings (schools, child development centres, private clinics) around Montreal, QC, and on Vancouver Island, B.C. Melanie loves skiing, swimming, camping, and biking.
Melanie has a special interest in a variety of areas including: hydrotherapy, physical literacy / using sports or physical activities to achieve PT goals (e.g. skiing, riding bikes, swimming, rock climbing, fishing, ball sports, etc.), pelvic floor and core stability, vestibular/visual systems, developmental coordination disorder (DCD), Autism, ADHD, early years / infants and hypermobility syndromes.
Melanie has the following additional qualifications: adaptive ski instructor (CADS level 2 alpine skiing and sit-skiing, level 1 snowboarding), manual therapy (FCAMP) level 2 upper and lower, pelvic floor rehabilitation 1 (female urinary incontinence)
NICOLE CARSWELL, MPT
Physiotherapist
Nicole was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB. She completed her Bachelors in Kinesiology at the University of Manitoba while playing hockey for the Bison Womens Hockey team. She graduated with her Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Manitoba in 2021.
Nicole has worked both in private and public practice helping children and adults recover from injuries and achieve their goals. She has a special interest in treating infants with plagiocephaly and torticollis and in helping children master their gross motor milestones.
When Nicole is not working, you can find her coaching hockey, going for runs, and spending time outdoors with friends and family.
